And then, a few days later, I found myself opening it again.
That’s how I know a casual game has quietly earned a place in my brain. Not because it demands attention, but because it lingers. This third round with Eggy Car wasn’t about proving anything. It was about curiosity—about whether the game would still feel the same, or if the magic would fade.
Spoiler: it didn’t.
Playing With Zero Expectations (The Best Way to Play)
This time, I went in with a different mindset. No goal. No “I have to beat my last distance.” I just wanted to play and see what happened.
That alone changed the experience.
Without pressure, every run felt lighter. When the egg fell early, I shrugged instead of groaning. When I made it past a tricky hill, I smiled instead of tensing up. It reminded me that casual games shine brightest when you let them be casual.
The funny thing is, once I stopped trying so hard, I actually played better.
